<aside> ☝🏽 The main challenge facing African artists has been the difficulty of showcasing their work globally due to a lack of connections and access to bigger stages. Additionally, many art enthusiasts have found the artwork to be quite expensive and inaccessible.

In light of these issues, we set out to create a web application that would enable African artists to showcase their work and make it easy for art lovers to purchase art pieces. We aimed to create a web application that made it simple for art collectors to locate works of art that are for sale and fall within their price range. We want to make sure people can keep up with their favourite artists, discover new works of art that are for sale, and discover fresh, invigorating artists.

01. Research & Analysis

To understand the needs of our target audience and the goals of the project, we conducted user research and market analysis. This helped us identify the pain points of African artists and art collectors, and to come up with a solution that addressed their needs.

Our solution involved two categories of users:

<aside> 👨🏽‍🎨 The dealers are artists and owners of art pieces for sale on the site. They can set up their stores, monitor sales and earnings, manage and track orders, and be visible for buyers to locate and buy their art pieces.

The collectors are individuals looking to discover, save towards, and buy art pieces through the platform. They can create accounts, set preferences based on budget, view and shop art pieces, follow favourite artists and creators, and purchase art pieces with ease.
